Beaches and sunshine – yes, but that’s just one of the many amazing facets of Hawaii. The Aloha State has been associated with celebrity glitz and glamor for years and it continues to this day.

Take Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls for instance. Dark, lean and lovely, Nicole Scherzinger was born in Hawaii and is actually consideredkānaka (native Hawaiian).

Born in Honolulu to a Filipino father and a Hawaiian/Russian mother, Nicole even sports a Hawaiian middle name – “Elikolani,” which can be translated to mean “heavenly child.”
